The PlantStar PLC Data Collection Module provides unmatched shop floor redundancy with the capability to gather data from single or multiple machines. The individual PLC Data Collection Module can be installed directly in a machine cabinet, providing self-contained data collection for each machine via a single connection to the ethernet network. Alternately, the PLC DCM is available with an industrial cabinet. Integral wire management and ample room for expansion provides consolidation of inputs from multiple machines. Includes: Processor module with ethernet port, RS232 serial port, 8 digital inputs and 6 outputs. Expandable with up to 8 add-on modules accommodates virtually any requirement.

PlantStar Tablet

The PlantStar Tablet provides operators and shop floor personnel with robust mobile access to the PlantStar system throughout their factory. This is a great option for manufacturers that have operators attending multiple machines/stations. The PlantStar Tablet’s built-in web browser allows visibility to all features and benefits of the PlantStar Manufacturing Execution System. Human Machine Interface (HMI)

The SYSCON PlantStar HMI (Human Machine Interface) is an industrial touchscreen device that is used to provide information to machine operators from the SYSCON PlantStar software and to allow operators to provide input and take essential actions on the shop floor. All these functions are provided in an easy-to-use browser-based interface with touchscreen control.

HMI Pedestal

The PlantStar HMI pedestal provides an ideal mounting arrangement to facilitate operator interaction with the PlantStar Manufacturing Execution System. The pedestal can be bolted to the floor in a location convenient to each work center, allowing operators and set-up personnel easy access to job management, downtime, assist, and reject functions.

The versatile pedestal design allows for the use of a traditional PlantStar touchscreen HMI as well as larger touchscreen displays if desired. Power, network, and signal wiring can be connected to the pedestal via rigid or flexible conduit and can be routed securely inside the pedestal column via a convenient access panel.

Data Collection Module (DCM)

The PlantStar Data Collection Modules provide unmatched shop floor redundancy with the capability to gather data from any machine via direct digital, analog, or serial interfaces. The newest PlantStar Data Collection Module (DCM) boasts 9 available I/O slots which can include a combination of up to 48 digital inputs, 24 digital outputs and up to 36 analog inputs. Multiple RS-232 and RS-485 intefaces can also be configured if needed. With PlantStar's Manufacturing Execution System, if your APU is down or you experience network issues, the Data Collection Module can continue to run previously scheduled jobs without interruption, then sync back up with no loss of data. Additionally, our newest Data Collection Modules can handle cycle times as low as 10ms for extremely high speed data collection.

Application Processing Unit (APU)

Discover more than just a server. PlantStar’s APUs are industrial-grade powerhouses that are designed to run your database and take care of the heavy lifting required for leveraging big data. The Application Processing Unit runs the PlantStar application server and contains all the configuration, data, files, and the master database. Available in both high performance server grade tower and rack mount configurations, and also available for VM deployments, the PlantStar APU fits your IT requirements. And, like all PlantStar hardware, it’s covered with Advance Replacement warranty service (physical servers only) as long as your PlantStar Software License and Maintenance Contract remains in place.
